A most pesky bird

Determined Bluebird

by prettybluebirds

Bluebird tunks on my windowpane, tunk, tunk, tunk.

"Silly bird, I'm busy right now, will you please go away."

Tunk, tunk, tunk.

"Ruffled feathers, an angry gleam in your eyes, will get you nowhere. I'm writing and don't wish to be disturbed."

Tunk, tunk, tunk.

"Darn, you have ruined my train of thought. How can I think with you tunking away?"

Tunk, tunk, tunk.

"Look, you have my cats upset. It's impossible to concentrate with all this racket."

Tunk, tunk, tunk.

"Okay, you win, I will fill the bird feeder. Then will you please just go away?"

A Bluebird often sits in the bushes by the window and tunks to get my attention. It always means the bird feeder is empty. I don't know how a bird figured out something like this, but this one sure did. He is very persistent too. The window is right by my computer so it can be annoying. He gave me the idea for this short story. 98 words on my word processor.
