Childhood memory

Hoping To Earn Her Love

by patcelaw

On this beautiful morn
I am letting my mind
wander in the meadows
Where I spent time as a child.

Where such lovely wild flowers
I would find there to pick,
I'd pick them for mama
hoping to earn her love.

There were wild daisies,
and violets so tiny and pert
but one of my favorite of all
were ones called shooting stars.

These were the happy days
of a childhood that knew stress
so the days of picking flowers
are among my very best
MEMORIES!!!

As a child there were many days when I did not feel loved by my mother.
The photo is from google images of the wild flower called the shooting star.
