Sad tale of a young teen who gets pregnant and runs away.

My Little Girl

by nomi338

My little girl ran away from home
Was much too young to be on her own
No mama around who could train her
I didn't have the heart to restrain her

No sooner had she started growing up
When this one boy started showing up
I told her she was too young to date
It was either give in or risk her hate

In the end, of course, nature took its course
She started to be filled with remorse
At first it was the morning sickness
Followed by her stomach's thickness

So rather than face me she ran away
How I'd like to sit her down and say
You are my child and nothing you might do
Could ever stop me from loving you

Who can truly say what tomorrow brings
Sometimes it seems we are controlled by strings
Life took my child and I can't get her back
My life left town in a pink backpack
