Christmas candles, need I say more?
It's the Christmas decoration I most adore!
Candles scented with peppermint, pine, cinnamon and pumpkin pie,
These fragrances create memories that will come back to us as time goes by.
Candles brightly colored in gold, red, green, silver and white,
sitting on a fireplace mantel or bedside table cast a softly flickering light.
They bring about feelings of peaceful calm, chase the shadows away.
Dining room candles will light the feast that we'll have on Christmas day.
In the small church on the corner, that most of the town attends,
people coming there to celebrate the holy birth, to pray or make amends,
will be awash in candlelight, on a frosty Christmas Eve.
A tribute to this special night, a lovely sight to see.
Candles only last for days, eventually they burn away.
But I won't be feeling blue, when the fragrances and light are through.
I'll be ready for next Christmas, my candles will gleam once more.
