One Damn Dollar

A hundred word story Contest Winner

One damn dollar, I got left. What the hell am I gonna do with a lousy dollar? Hit the dollar-menu? Don't need an appetizer, I'm frickin' starved. Somebody stole my blanket. I'm 'bout ready to freeze to death.... if I don't starve first.
I'm thinkin' I'll just end it all.
I see a boy cryin' by a flower cart. He don't have enough for his ma's present.
"How much ya need, boy?"
He looks at me with big round teary eyes.
"A dollar."

Maybe, I'll make it after all.
His smile makes me think that dollar was worth a hundred.
