Darling Girl
 

You graduate today, and then you’ll go;
 I’ve watched your confidence mature and grow
From your participation in debates
And winning tournaments in many  States.
Your goal, you say, “to help the female rise”
In fields of which are mostly male comprised;
You'll fight for equal pay and jobs obtained
You plan to fight until these rights are gained.
I pray these stressful efforts will not hide
The lovely, loving girl you are, inside.
I know you will succeed in any quest;
I’m proud of you, my darling!  You’re the best!
