Cape of Good Hope

by Aussie

West winds toss and turn
White caps level, sailor's will learn
Hungry sea discovers man
Poseidon's Trident held in hand

Cape of Good Hope; pirates bold
Treasure to be had, tales to be told
Sailors game to sail the Cape
West winds blow; Cape devils make

Dead-men's bones picked clean
Leftover scraps from seagulls seen
Sea birds pick at gemstones bright
For dead sailors, there is no night

Ships lay 'neath the waves
Once proud vessels, now graves
Greedy for treasure, nothing doth last
Poseidon's Trident holds them fast
