One day I said to God, I want to plant a garden,
A magical garden of vegetables that will help us to remember your way.

First, I'll plant some Lettuce; that will say to us each week,
"Lettuce show up to church on Sunday to hear what the Lord has to say."

Then I'll set out rows of cucumbers, radishes, and melons to remind us
of the many colors, we'll see along the way.

Next in our garden will come onions and radishes; row by row they'll show us united as sisters and brothers should be.

And when we cuddle as one, the hard-boiled eggs and croutons
that have joined us will feel so proud,

that we all came together to raise our voices in quiet prayer but sing
your praise out loud.
