Words From The Grave

by Abby Wilson-hand

Funeral Contest Winner
I know that you can't see me
but trust me I'm right here.
Although I'm up in heaven
my love for you stays near.

So often I will see you crying
and calling out my name.
Wishing I could kiss your face
and ease some of your pain.

I wish that I could make you see
that heaven is truly real.
If you could see me laugh and pray,
how much better you would feel.

Our loving God has promised me
that when the time is right.
You'll step out of the darkness
and meet me in the light.

So when tomorrow starts without me
don't think we're far apart.
For every time you think of me
I'm right here inside your heart.
