Some stories should not be told

The pain is too much
The plot is too real
The cost is too steep

Yet,

The story untold
damages the soul
creates chaos in life
relives the crime daily

Until,

The words are spoken
The truths are told
The reality is acknowledge
The imperfections are revealed
The damage is renewed

Then

   The mirror is shattered
The fairy tale destroyed
Happily ever after
A myth that you were told

Replaced by tragic endings
Annihilated dreams

   Pauses in the memory
Long forgotten schemes

Reaching

For the answers
Hoping so to find
who you are
and

what you were
A total new design

Despite

the rules you were given
the egg begins to crack
You emerge the owner
of a long forgotten past

The spoken word changes your truth
The written word defines it
The story of your shattered youth
reveals that you are stronger

An imperfect human
Whose life story was written
By your own hand
With valuable lessons that need to be told

      And a new life

that needs to be lived
