Thrilled to be in included in the Haiku Anthology

Haiku: In Print

by Chrissy710

To see my words
in Haiku Anthology
 What a cool buzz

Recognized

I have just received my Haiku Anthology copies today and to have my Haiku's included is such a thrill for me, considering three years ago prior to joining Fan Story I had never heard of Haiku or many other styles of poetry let alone the requirements required to write them.
I have learned so much and have made many wonderful friends here on FS and truly appreciate all support and friendships made.
I did do Gypsy's( MariVal) Haiku class here on FS ( I can highly recommend this class) and have come to appreciate the intricacies of writing Haiku ( although have still much to learn) and am a member of the FS Haiku club.

For those not aware there is now this Haiku Anthology Observations and Insights available from Amazon Published by Douglas Paul Creations LLC in cooperation with the FanStory Haiku club. The members and board worked very hard to select the best of all Haiku's sent for selection and I am very thrilled and proud to have three of mine included. Thank you so much

I highly recommend this anthology as a must have and I am sure you will enjoy the many talented poets here on this site.

This Haiku I wrote today and I hope it captured my experience of receiving my book and seeing my name in print. Syllables 4-7-4 (15)

I have used the word 'Buzz' which according to several dictionary sources is 'an atmosphere of excitment and activity' and buzz is a widely usd in Australian Slang as a felling of exhilaration or pleasure

My Kigo ( seasonal reference Haiku requirement ) is 'cool' and this has several meanings also and according to the Mirriam Webster dictionary Cool is ' at fairly low temperature' ( it is Winter here in Australia and I received my copy of this Anthology yesterday

Cool is also an adjective according to Collins dictionary
If you say something is 'cool' you think it is very good

Haiku does not always need to follow the 5-7-5 syllable count and is often less

Haiku record an immediate life experience...... and the best time to compose Haiku is right after the event ( MariVal Bales)

Thank you for reading my work
