Decision to be with the darkness
How sweetly the black water flows,
deep down greeting my toes.
Seeping deeply into my bones-
when it reaches my heart; it slows.
Blackness is suddenly overcoming,
my, how ghastly it amasses to grow.
Consuming all those distant echoes-
while eating away all that glows.
Now the darkness has me froze-
blackening my insides;
This I chose.
It's poisoned my rose.
Ashes to dust, muck it blows.
Lightlessness embusses a quietus emptiness,
how seductively it shows.
My heart is useless without my rose.
My heart is weeping, and of disgrace it woes.
Beat by beat; my heart it slows.
My rose is merely dust-
mirroring my suggestive will to impose.
Now simply left to decompose.
A slumber taunts of dark and must-
this I chose.
