A Balanced Blend of Blues

by Badger_29

"The blues ain't nothing but a good man feeling bad" Leon Redbone
~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~
To efficiently enact, and
     perform the blues,
ya gotta' live those
     turbulent hues
Traveling down
     this twinding road,
Ya got to
"get down"
     to carry your load
Because only then,
  can you learn to win
When the time is right
There doesn't
seem much left,
be bereft,
here comes the night
As a deeper
blend of hues
imbues, swarming
slowy, subtly
fading to black:
   transforming
Look quick,
over your back,
to, perchance,
catch a glimpse of:
 the reaper
He hovered one day
(I was in bed),
and I suddenly
craved coffee,
but chose tea
instead
Having read of
"Red",
and his famous
family recipe:
An orange spice
variety
His son, Red Junior,
then plunged the
bold blade
of his canary-yellow
Bowie knife
Into the trunk
of a
green, Grecian tree
As overhead flew
blue bird,
HIS son,
Red the third,
skipped
aqua coloured stones
on the silvery surface
of an indigo sea
 The dapper, dappled waves
breaking,
and taking the
smooth stones in
Violent
 shades of violet
twilight
shone down
where he wades
in the thickness,
with a quickness
The third stone skipped
seven times
landing deftly upon
a glass shard
(~tink~)
What do you
 (~think~)
Of azure, cobalt, and
"baby" too?
  There are
so many marvelous
shades of blue!
It is so special,
that it knows:
two slots in the
"Royal Rainbow"
    With red, orange, yellow,
and a green too,
    but for the next shade,
there are two:
indigo, and blue
     finishing with:
violet, true
So, as these forces
you employ,
give thought
for the 'morrow
For you can only
experience joy:
to the depth which
you have felt sorrow
Never forget to
pay your dues
as you live out
this bizarre
blend of blues
Be not afraid,
to get your feet wet
 as you slowly wade
into life's palette
In  all  that  you  do,
add color and flair!
Add a bold dash of blue,
to be
 balanced,
 alive, and
aware
This is for Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, and Jim Morrison, who played the blues paid their dues and all died at the mysterious age of 27, referred to as the
"27 club", who has a couple of new members which include Kurt Cobain.
Introduction
"Axis: Bold As Love"
by Jimi Hendrix
Anger, he smiles,
towering in shiny metallic purple armour
Queen Jealousy, envy waits behind him
Her fiery green gown sneers at the grassy ground
Blue are the life-giving waters taken for granted,
They quietly understand
Once happy turquoise armies lay opposite ready,
But wonder why the fight is on!
But they're all bold as love, yeah, they're all bold as love
Yeah, they're all bold as love
Just ask the axis
My red is so confident that he flashes trophies of war,
and ribbons of euphoria
Orange is young, full of daring,
But very unsteady for the first go round
My yellow in this case is not so mellow
In fact I'm trying to say it's frigthened like me
And all these emotions of mine keep holding me from, eh,
Giving my life to a rainbow like you
But, I'm eh , yeah, I'm bold as love
Yeah, yeah
Well I'm bold, bold as love (hear me talking, girl)
I'm bold as love
Just ask the axis (he knows everything)
Yeah,
yeah,
yeah!
