I want to be just like my dad when I get big and strong,
To walk in his footsteps is just where I belong.
I know he is gone from us sometimes and I miss him oh so much,
His work is hard and dangerous but you know my dad is tough.
I watch him as he leaves for work, and always understand,
His job is for our country and his life is in God's hands.
I am so proud of what he does and want to be like him,
He is a US soldier and God takes care of them.
