Unforced Errors

A desperate man is Donald J. Trump,
Undergoing a terrible slump.
Barely six months after being elected,
Misguided moves being rejected.
Transparent lies cannot be discounted;
Conflicting lies perforce compounded.
The loyal White House insiders confused;
Distressed Press Secretaries abused.
Denial of clear Putin connection
Fails to pass rational inspection. 
World confounded by muddled messages,
Spreading fear of backlash presages.
Ignorance and arrogance his downfall.
(Might have survived not talking at all.)
