Sometimes You Ache for Yesterday

Waiting To Feel

Sometimes I want so badly to feel
the movement in my soul
that lived and spoke to me
before.

I hear nothing now.
I only wish I could.
But, one cannot dictate the soul's intent.

Nor can I summon a magic wand to wield.

So, I wait to feel.
I wait to be that woman again.

I knew her well, or so I thought.
But that was
before.
