Seeds Need Darkness To Grow

by patcelaw

When my writing muse is hidden
and seems words will not come
I must remember that seeds
need the darkness to germinate.
So for a while I will wait
to see if the seeds will grow
into something beautiful
so what I reap will be bountiful.

I had written a message to my friend Kennetha, that I had lost two friends on Easter Sunday, it was as if my writing muse had fallen asleep. Here is her response. It inspired my muse and this poem is the result....
It's hard to lose an old friend, someone you love. I'm sure that the writing muse will use this sorrow as the soil in which to grow more beauty for the Lord. Seeds need the darkness to germinate.

Thanks Kennetha for watering the seed of my muse, and causing my muse to awake from its slumber.
