A lovely load

Carry me

by DR DIP

CARRY ME

Carry me across the threshold
Don't drop me I'm getting heavy
Hope these floorboards can uphold
Don't want to pay a levy

6 months gone only 3 months more
Then there will be three
A few more years, kids galore
So let me make this plea

Carry me across this threshold of love
Hope it will always last
Let me look into your eyes above
And the smile that you have cast

And as we age together
This love that we will share
will take us through all weather
But I know you are aware

Carry me across the threshold
After I've made my solemn vow
Love's something I'll never withhold
No matter where, no matter how
