A blind man's second chance at sight.

Soft Paradise

by l.raven

The mist of rain so peaceful in the ray of light.
Shining from the lamp pole on the street at night.
The mist gives the world a smoother sight.
Softens the sharp edges all just right.

A glass lens could not capture the beauty quite nice.
Blind man wishes to roll those bitter dice.
To better his chances to witness this paradise.
“Once more” he says, “I’ll pay whatever price.”

Cold grass-filled plains, still have some warmth.
Cleansing the blind man’s soul, so on and so forth.
He kisses the sky in hope of a soothing sort.

Tightens his eyes, then opens them as a last resort.

The mist of rain so peaceful in the ray of light.
Was the exact picture the blind man saw that night.
He admired the way it gives the world a smoother sight.
Softens the paradise just right.
