Welcome Back Winter

I've been concentrating on prose this year, but after waking to a winter storm that has covered the grass and frozen the buds, I couldn't help myself.
For those who may not know the legend, here is a very brief explanation:
Persephone (per-SEH-fe-nee) In Greek mythology is the daughter of Zeus and the harvest goddess Demeter. Hades, god of the underworld fell in love with Persephone and spirited her off to the underworld to become his wife. Demeter insisted her daughter be returned and destroyed crops and plants causing a famine. A compromise was finally reached where Persephone spends half the year with her mother Demeter, during which the world knows spring and summer. When Persephone returns to her husband Hades, winter comes.
