Memories Of An Assignment

Istanbul

by Thesis

I can remember living in a suite at the Swissotel Istanbul, when I was assigned there for three years. My morning walks along the Marina to buy fresh fish, to the Spice Bazaar, the open air produce market, and the bakery always ensured that I had the freshest ingredients for a perfect evening meal.

Of course, no meal would be complete without a cold bottle of Efes Beer, or a glass of Raki. To end my almost perfect days in Istanbul, a visit to the rooftop bar with a Cuban cigar and a Scotch, overlooking the Bosphorus, was my vice.
