Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
A promise for the rest of life

Tomorrow's happy in my yesterday

by Lova Vijay Kumar

What if I could pause this,
this very second in my eyes
and show her, how she paints my life with love
and how eyes talk to eyes
Like a baby's waving 'Hi!'
to every toddler passing-by
I talk to her peeking eyes
I talk to her peeking eyes

Show her, how the sun drips into
iridescent hues of black,
down her hair like a dew of rain
How the winds caress her earrings-sky blue
and how they bring the best perfumes of flowers
to pony-tail her hair into braids
For she has always been my little girl
I was always my baby's toy
I was always my girl's favourite toy

Show her, how the moon blossoms
this crescent night, in her blushing eyes
Amid the drizzling snow
at the brink of her smile
how the moon lit sea
glitters on the banks of her eyes
I see her dreams swashing mine
I see her dreams swashing mine

On the shores of her eyes,
I saw her love's never mine
She asked me a word, word for life
It's a promise to never walk into her life

Basking on the beach
Who's by my side?
This time, it's again my lonely shadow
strolling down her footprints
on the sands of my yesterday

What if I could pause this,
this very second in my eyes
and show her all I wanted to tell her
Every time, I see her darling eyes
I see my eyes helplessly blushing
For she knew all I'm waiting to tell her

For it's a promise to never walk into her life
All I'm left with today, are the memoirs of her smile
Every page of my tomorrow ticking back to my yesterday
