A fanstory eulogy

This is farewell but not goodbye

THIS IS FAREWELL BUT NOT GOODBYE

Another time, another place
These are memories I won't erase
I won't forget this time I've had
Always good times, never bad

So my friends, I will not cry
This is only farewell, but not good bye

You go through life, make many friends
As you walk this path of time
You may find a wife, who understands
Your obsession is only rhyme

You find a site, you visit nightly
You post a poem or two
You make the effort to do it rightly
You don't want to make a blue

You make many friends with the same passion
To express the written word
I don't think rhyming is out of fashion
I don't see it as absurd!

But at the end of the day, it's all in fun
Some rhymes are tongue in cheek
But I'm not the only poet hon!
Who is a Fanstory geek!

But there comes a time and I can tell
And you know the reasons why
When I sadly say farewell
But I'll never say goodbye!

My Fanstory eulogy lol

This will be my Fanstory Eulogy when I feel it's time to go and I have worn out my welcome

I have deliberately used various rhyme schemes and a couplet of the theme line.
"This is only farewell but not goodbye
A "Blue"..aussie slang for a mistake "to make a blue"
