Oh look,
elephants roaming free..
I love
how royal they can be.
Their eyes
reflect majestic grace,
young ones
struggle, to keep the pace.

Alas,
I weep, through tears I look.
They roam...
through pages of a book.

You called
Invited me to tea
We sipped
And talked excitedly
We laughed
Till tears ran down our cheeks
We cried
While sharing deep heartaches
You said
Please come again for tea
And I
Knew it could never be
