Grateful

I am grateful that He gave me a home
also grateful He gives me food to eat
so grateful I live in a land that's free;
when His blessings I don't understand
for them all I am grateful you see.

There are many in this world
who don't have a nice home
some people have little to eat
and many live under dictatorships
and they are anything but free

Not to be grateful for what I have
would be very selfish of me.

The word grateful I intentionally use to drive home a point about our need to be grateful for what we have in this land of freedom. I see so many who are negative and ungrateful.
