To Mick -We miss you this Christmas.
Sun nods at rising Moon,
existence unravels
when I relinquish my control
to the Master of the Sky Castle.

I ride with Him on a unicorn of white,
he’ll show me scenes of wonder this night.
Mystic gifts abound; sounds of ancient elvish
tunes grace our senses.

Fairies, young and old, bow to their King.
This grand palace is the House of Dreams;
countless doors from which to choose.

The Master points to a silver door,
“Open, and enter the Moondream!"
Beautiful Moonprincesses are singing
as they spin on wooden wheels
creating Royal Purple garments
of gossamer and lace for their King.

He points to another door.
Fiery-red and yellow, it opens to my touch.
Sleepy-eyed, I'm led to
a world of creativity and passion.
This is the realm of the poet, musician,
artist, philosopher, and seer.
They present me with the gift of Inspiration.

Yet another door; this one of sky blue.
Behind this door I find Understanding,
Freedom from Judgment,
and Attentiveness.

Understanding nods ~ her gift is that of Empathy.
Freedom from Judgment smiles ~ his gift is Acceptance of All.
Attentiveness stretches out her hands ~ Listening to another is her gift.

We ride again on a unicorn of white,
He’s shown me many scenes of wonder this night.
Alas, this dream must now conclude,
and I awaken from slumber, my bed familiar.

Moon smiles at the rising Sun,
reality prevails,
yet I am changed by the Gifts of a Dream.
