horror-fying 5-7-5 writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt Can you be scary in just seventeen short syllables? Do you think you've got what it takes to evoke a chill from your readers in such a brief verse? If your answer is a resounding, "YES!", then this is your chance to shine. Write a 5-7-5 poem that evokes feelings of horror, terror and, if you're really lucky, perhaps even revulsion in your readers. A 5-7-5 follows the structure of a Haiku. It has three lines. The first line has 5 syllables. The second line has 7 syllables. The third line has 5 syllables again. Don't eat yellow snow (5 syllables) It's not healthy as you know (7 syllables) Besides, it tastes bad! (5 syllables) - written by starkat --Poetry only, no prose
