Like a Moth to a Flame

I am a force to be reckoned with,
no matter how hard you try to resist.
You pretend you're in total control,
but we know it's just an illusion.
Like a moth to a flame you will fly,
mesmerized by fire and danger.
From the tiniest embers I will grow
til I spread and absolutely consume
every fiber of your sad existence.
