Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
I had great excuses when not prepared for tests.

No Test Today

by Marykelly

Childhood Contest Winner
I left my brain at home today.
I cannot take this test! NO WAY!
Take this test? I can't I'm sure.
My brain is on my bedroom floor.
It may be underneath a book,
when I go home I'll take a look.
I know it isn't with me now!
Take this test? NO WAY! NO HOW!
I'll clean my room, I'll find my brain,
I'll put it in my head again.
After that I'll take this test.
I'll answer questions, do my best.
My brain will tell me what to write,
I'll work and work with all my might.
My brain is still at home today.
I cannot take this test! NO WAY!

As a student and as a teacher I was intrigued by the creativity of excuses from students. I have to confess I came up with my fair share.
