devilry tricks

by judester

Seeking shelter 'neath the sheets,
Avoiding devilry tricks or treats,
Mayham reigns outside my door
Hallowe'en, I do abhor.
Acrid winds, wicked moon
I pray, then weep, sanity strewn.
November 1st, I'll be alright
Ominous ticks, until midnight.
Putrid evil fills this room
Haunting me in gaseous gloom
Oh my gosh. what's at my door!
Be gone! I yell, in tears, implore.
In my mind, evil explodes,
A mournful wail, my heart implodes.

Pen an acrostic using the word Halloween or any word that relates to the festivities. It could be Trick or Treat even. Have fun.

Thanks to lynnkah for the perfect illustration. Samhainophobia is fear of Hallowe'en, if only I can make it to midnight.
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
