Can I find where.....

Love Exists in All Things

by krys123

"I want to know what love is
and I want You to show me?"

I've searched everywhere I know
and found it fleeting like the wind
and even silent as a breeze
and love can only be seen
through the action of others
and other things and beings.
I want to know where love is,
can you show me?
Is it in the action of others
that I may know
where love is?
Is it in a child's innocent look
and the unconditional love of a mother bird
for her young?
Can it be found in a drop of rain
that splashes as a first drop
on an only flower
perking up through the cracks
of a basketball court
in the inner-city
and cools down the neighborhood
from its anger?
We definitely know how love hurts
and how it feels
when it is felt once or so many times
and we seem to do it very well to others.
We do know where to find love, if just for a moment,
in some dark room
and then call it lovemaking.
But, it is not unconditional love
or love everlasting
and not as easy as it seems to be as easy
for us earthly beings.
Just by looking at ourselves
we also can see
who doesn't have any love
and so we know where it is not;
in the polar hearts of our brothers
and sisters
that seemed lost
and need so preciously to find it.
"I want to know
what love is,
can You
show me?
