Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
a poem

School

I remember entering
a building meant for mentoring
and some soci'tal centering
of young minds like my own

Administrators walked the yards
we learned from math'maticians, bards,
historians, and science "nards"
all things fit to be known

What I recall was stratifying
niched in through "I-DATA-fying"
prepped for living or for dying
no deeper meaning shown

We all survived as many did
the shaming, naming, gaming grid
that polishes or brands some kids
from youth until they're grown

NARD= a variation of nerd that fits the rhyme scheme
I - DATA- fy-ing = represents how people are known as a sum of their parts and nothing more
