We're off to Bali's distant shores,
where weather's warm; (with lots of tours.)
For two long weeks we're gone from here,
but don't be sad, don't shed a tear.

Our grandchild's kin, (well half at least,)
are waiting for -- a rellie* feast;
we'll visit temples, go on walks,
or snooze by pools when sleep-time stalks.

These islands cluster, form one land,
it's warm all year and that's just grand.
If I don't answer your request,
in time I will...with verve and zest.

Don't envy me (I'll work real hard,)
so pray I'll be a Bali bard.
I'll write, compose...despite my lack.
before you know it I'll be back,
