The wishing well.

She leaned into the wishing well
and inhaled his decimation,
surrounded by a pool of blood
the remains of his castration.

Death laid its silence on the land
In muted shades of crimson hue,
and summoned up a mighty storm
to wash away that churning clue.

She nudged the dagger from the mud
another trophy to be stored,
among her other treasured tools
that deigned the deed when evil roared.
