Angels in Uniform

Thank You, Lord

by foxangie123

Never thought it would be,
so hard for me to see,
care for one I love with medical needs,
while running across town keeping eyes on the younger seeds;
Have you walked in those shoes,
employed to care for the many not the few,
death knocking on your door too,
the suffering prolonged as his stomach grew.

God sent me Angels in scrubs I'd keep,
calming my soul down so I could be meek,
mend the wounds of mind, body, and soul, the arterial bleeds,
sorting it all out at once,
is no one's treat.

I thought I was tough,
big nurse with guts,
then it knocked me down a notch,
suffering hadn't been the news feed;
till it grabbed hold tight,
talk about rough as my soul was jailed and not free;

God sent me Angels in uniform to keep,
she said, "we got this, go home and rest those feet,"
Angels in uniform flew in his hospital door,
Thank you, Thank you, Jesus,
I needed them too, My Awesome Lord!

This year 2016, eleventh day of April, I dedicate this to the Hospital Staff at St Vincent's.
