Don't Trip Now
Dang now had lost my way,
couldn't find myself day after day,
took what others had to say,
personal till recognizing it was leading to my grave;
If the boots don't fit,
stop putting them on,
you can still two-step,
bare foot from dusk to dawn;
Call me a truth seeker,
surely not a crystal-meth tweeker,
a faithful Twitter tweeter,
Dang now, look at my Facebook,
you'll find me to be a real keeper;
Get another size,
don't be caught up in a strange surprise,
we are here to live once,
who wants to be tripping over stumps,
not me Hun.....
Awoke holding tweezers,
looking in the mirror I saw a geezer,
an unacceptable image, a real sneezer,
one hundred percent people pleaser;
Dang y'all it was then I'd been found,
given my reservation with confirmation to higher grounds,
home safe here or there,
it was me that had to look to head up
away from being down.
