With Whom I Live My Life

by rhymelord

Each morn my life rekindles when I wake to find you there;
As with the sun, the warm glow grows, enhancing all we share.
Then, in the cool of eventide, as day slips into night,
Together, in companionship, our love sustains the light.
Just as the welcome warmth of spring sweeps winter's chills away,
Your blessed fire replenishes my joy of you each day.
As summer follows spring and moves in russet tones to fall,
Your tender love, your presence holds me warm within its thrall.
Now, as life’s seasons slip away in quiet, contented bliss
And Maytime passion cools into a warm and tender kiss,
Our souls, which twined when first we met a life of love ago,
In unison can now enjoy all fortune can bestow.
And, in the soft hued evening of the winter of our life,
I ask no more than you remain my heart, my love, my wife.
