Remembering a Loved One

All

by foxangie123

What happens to the tears,
Happy or sad after they fall,
Where do we go when it's over feeling empty,
Next move, as their name has been called;

Could feel the world empty as he left,
There wasn't any stalling notions left to-guess,
Those with wings came as escort just as said,
Peace engulfed his face as they lifted him right out of that bed;

You made me a daughter,
I made you a father,
Always worked hard,
Protected your family when life started its slaughter;
Picked me up so I'd be closer to the sky,
Learning and feeling the likes of being up high,
Dragged me up the mountain screaming no, as I cried,
Helped spread my wings through each moment and every sigh;
Exampled a man and husband some day I'd want to marry,
Taught to use my voice and knowledge as strength that carried,
Taking it all while giving everything just like magical ferries;

My eyes pour out as the memories are recalled,
Glad you got to dump your bucket of tears after the call,
No more crying, sickness, crumbling down ready to fall,
Dry without rain drops now, I won't forget us Paw;

Buckets empty because cries in Heaven stop,
The sign says must empty before you cross,
Assurance you were home safe, no more knots,
Perfect that's All, exact give and take to the dot;

Made me your baby girl as you became my dad,
Stuck it out no matter times happy and sad,
Thank you for consistent teachings both said and saw,
Strength as spirits left here needed for the test of giving,
One day knowing we'd receive it All.
