Life

Potters Wheel

by Walter L. Jones

Death waits on no man
Memories dance in potter's clay
Life comes in artist palette
Dreams fall short just a man

Fingers move across the lines of age
Wisdom flows to each pour
Bottle empties
Sand drops age

From edge to clay
Her face plays my heart
Start to canvas
Black breaks to clay

Blind as sun wanders
East to sea
Old man sings his tale
From statue to painting wanders
