Love is nearer to hate than you realize
Love turns to hate
The girl stood there
Her beauty beyond compare
I felt tongue tied
as I strode to her side
I said, "do you fancy going out?"
She replied, "Go away you lout.
I am too good for you
and you smell like poo."
The other kids looked
and I felt like a fish on a hook
They chanted, "Lou smells like poo."
and I ran to the loo
That night after school
he felt like a fool
his dad was drunk
and smelled like a skunk
The name calling began
"pooey Lou," they sang
He covered his hears, and could't take it no more.
The next day he took a kitchen knife, and walked out of the door
She sat at the table, her friends all around
He marched up to her, grinned and snarled, "look what I found."
He plunged the knife into her chest
She tried to deflect it, she did her best
The blood spurted out of a nasty cut
Lou growled, "Take that you slut."
They called the police who took him away
The policewoman said he'd be locked up that day.
The moral of this story is a sobering one
people are not put on this earth for their fun
As the judge said when he sentenced the boy,
"A young man has feelings, he is not a toy."
