Dreams of Love

Lost In the Emptiness

by Delahay

Lonely I am often do you mind if I confess
Sometimes it comes upon me in a crowd
Words wake me wondering in the middle of the night
Sometimes I feel I must cry out loud

There are stars I follow through the darkness of the night
As I seek the growing of the morning light
Can you hear me call you in the stillness of your sleep
I feel I must find you to make my world complete

I feel my heart tremble calling out your name
I fight the fear that something isn't right
Walking over rainbows, seeking out the rain
Calmness and the feel of your caress

Like a rustic castle crumbling 'neath the weight of time
I seek out your heart lost in love what waits above
Like grapes gone to vinegar not to be the taste of wine
Hopeless holding onto dreams love would find its mark

I guess this if free verse. I know some lines rhyme but I wasn't trying to make all of them do so. I was more interesting in what it says.
