Mind Over Matter

by fdgsr

Some work better in a fog;
perseverance makes a log;
procrastination kills a frog.

Did you know that if you drop a frog into boiling water it will jump out and save itself? But, if you put a frog into cold water and slowly bring it to a boil, the frog will die.

A tree grows into a log very slowly. It may take a hundred years to grow a log that can be cut into boards that represent layers built up over the years.

The frog would die if it stops to think, while a tree does not have to think about it for a hundred years to produce a useful product.

We have learned to compress twigs into logs and lumber, but never turn our twigs of thought into boards that can be trusted.
