A poem about bullying

Bullied to Death

by boxergirl

Jr High or High School bullying Contest Winner
He was invisible to most
no one seemed to even care
about the hell that he was in
or his wide-awake nightmare.

There was no rhyme or reason
why they had picked on him so
they snagged him as their target
and they wouldn't let him go.
Their taunting so tenacious
their bark worse than their bite
his stomach in a thousand knots
full of demoralizing fright.
Some how they'd always find him
cowered at the corner table
they'd slap his head and call him names
 "You fag," their favorite label.
He needed badly to stay home
but his mom urged him to go
she knew he wasn't happy
but how bad, she didn't know.
Then that one disastrous day
his plan not to be undone
the only way free, he could see
was to shoot them with a gun.

Finally finished, he was gone too.
Somebody now,  that everyone knew.
