Shakespearean Sonnet

Upon Newfound Eyes

by GregoryCody

His breath so slight unfolds his fallen heart,
a mother's gifted journey just embarked
Forever promise wept yet not apart
and hands release to grasp this blessed start

He enters His creation built for him,
this blossomed life so fragile now begins
Oh holy child your light will never dim,
for you are home wherever glory lives

A teardrop chases quickly destined climb,
tomorrow draws on mysteries aligned
This sight unstained bestowed on newfound eyes,
can see the world's descent to rising shine

Courageous babe his future soars and sings,
and caught by crowds that now unclip these wings
