Somebody once said: "Dogs have owners, cats have staff, or subjects."
This was a contest entry I missed. *Sod, colloquial English, couldn't care less.
All the cats we had as pets, wanted to be let in, or out, immediately, their meals served on time, the most comfortable spot in the house. But we loved them all, they brought something special into our lives, all God's creatures are special. Footnote: we loved and owned dogs too!
