The leaves have all turned;
and most have floated away.
The lawn is rustic brown
it's another crisp day.

Activities abound,
and all for good reason.
Once again, we've arrived;
it's the Holiday Season!

The joy that you've known
in the days gone by,
is tempered by sadness
and our question is: Why?

He may be absent
from his special place.
But you have constant reminders
of his strength and his grace.

The God of all Comfort
who gave him to you,
has a higher perspective
and He'll see you through.
