I've chosen to used the Old English spelling of "Vampyre". I hope you don't mind...
The Vampyre in this is indeed a very young girl. Her humanity stolen from her at a very young age, she mourns the loss of that part of her, but sees her new body as "effulgent", a radiant mist, shining forth amongst the darkness of the old stones and crypts of the ancient cemetery she haunts. So many have asked for clarification. I felt I would add it here...
