Sing me a song of memories

The Holidays Are Upon Us Old Touch

by Walter L. Jones

Cold wind hit me

As I passed the bottle

A couple of guys

Thought they could

Sing

At one point made the little girls cry

Staring into the age of belief

She was three always wanting kisses

Nick named her kissy face

Her arms around my neck

Kissy face still loves you

Kissy face still needs you

I cry

Bar stool uncomfortable

Whiskey tasting stale

Base rips a harmony

Time in face

Angel sings for me

A couple of guys

Who were mistaken

They never could sing

But she can

Walls close in on my heart

Her mother sees me and runs

Can not escape fate

She talks about you everyday

So here is a voice to listen to a place to hide away

Pretend that you are someone else

I will be here to stay

Memories can still cry

The walls come caving in

I am back there with you again

Time measures mistakes along the way

An angels wings still fly

In the dreams that passed me by

Three guys old and cold pass the bottle sold

To buy a piece of dream

In the night and old friend

Sings to them once again

Bar stool uncomfortable

Whiskey tasting stale

Base rips a harmony

Time in face

Her arms around my neck

Kissy face still loves you

Kissy face still needs you

I cry
