Red Riding Hood

by Walter L. Jones

Now I've been to heaven
Stomped through the gates of hell
Fear no man
But the fear of my woman
No human tongue can tell

Just a looking into her fire
Desire on to cry
Night wind drags
Mind flies
To another
One equals lies

In the city
With stars blurred
By shaded skies
He stomps out tears on a pillow
Drowns her heart in lies

Wind drags down to the valley
Pines hide her sighs
Cup holds the fever
Heart broken in lies

Freight train drops my body
My soul echoes through her mind
Keeps me from death
But it is just a matter of time

Now I've been to heaven
Stomped through the gates of hell
Fear no man
But the love of my woman
No human tongue can tell
