For the best friend anyone could ever have - biographical

Gratitude

Gratitude

How do you thank someone who always understands?
What can you offer when he meets all your demands?
When all you think and feel are everything he hopes to please,
how can you show respect for all the precious ease
his loving soul brings to your heart, and to your troubled mind?
Without this tender guidance, you are stumbling - truly blind.

So easily we just dismiss, can't seem to recollect
the constant sweet persuasion and the genuine respect -
the many times our sorrow is absorbed so selflessly -
the only way I know is prayer, and praise on bended knee.
